Howdy folk!
It's been so long since I've sent one of these out, I really thought I ought to send this. I've been feeling bad for about 2 weeks now!
ANyway, its nearly Christmas and I'm staying in this icy country! So far I've had a 2-hour delay and 2 cancelled days of school, due to the weather - and it's not even winter officially yet!
Life is good, on the whole. My room mate and I had a disagreement about a stray I'd collected a couple of months ago (she didn't want to live with a dog!) so she moved out today! Its been and intersesting time, I had several days of stress, tears and prayer last week, but we seemed to have survived. The dog, Jabalani, is well worth the effort!
I am still going to Morning Star Wilkes evey week, have lots of friends and am loving it!
School is stressy, but good. I'm an assistant coach to the Jump Rope Team and I sub 2 evening after school in Extended Learning (a programme to bring on the kids who might not pass their tests at the end of the year.) I get extra money for both of these things!!
For anyone who thought me coming out here would not involve a culture shock, you were wrong, but it's still excellent. They don't have real chocolate, I get asked for ID in bars, very few people have much of an idea about football. BUT, for me right now, this is where I'm meant to be, 100%. God is in this guys
Stuff to pray for...that God would keep revealing himself to me, for wisdom with my finances and real wisdom to deal lovingly with my 15 strong class!
Anyway, gonna go, would love to hear your news, will try and reply personally, but don't hold your breath!
Lots of love, Emma x _________________ Check yo self! |
